LIFT OFF offers you a chance to take risks, discover new ways of working and to hone your expertise alongside mentors, artists and partners who are charting new paths in the arts and education.
Join us as we move past what we know into the rich adventure that is beyond. Remember we need each other to LIFT OFF!
Our conference is waiting on the launchpad for 2026... but we need your help in the countdown.
Drama Queensland is looking for new workshops and presentations that will help lift us all to new heights.
Focus areas for LIFT OFF may include:
- Units of work or learning experience in:
- Early Childhood and Primary ACARA V9.0
- Junior Secondary (Years 7-10) ACARA V9.0
- Applied Drama (Years 11 and 12) QCAA
- General Drama (Years 11 and 12) QCAA
- First Nations Perspective
- Teacher as Artist
- Leadership Skills and Arts Advocacy
- Industry Practice and its Application to Drama Education
- Research in Drama Education
GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTATIONS
You can propose the length of your presentation by selecting one or more of the following: 60 minute or 90 minute masterclass. The standard time allocation is 60 minutes.
Presentations can take the form of:
- Workshop (practical)
- Paper Presentation (lecture style)
- Masterclass (practical or a mix of practical and theory)
- Panel/Forum
- Performance
- Other – please determine in your application
Try to be as detailed and specific as possible and use the conference brief to frame your presentation description and requirements. How will your presentation provide opportunity for delegates to interrogate, evaluate and rework the journey they are taking and equip them with the tools to start mapping their path and turning their fortune around?
Presentation Group Sizes: All presentations will need to be able to run for 20-90 participants. Your number of delegates will be confirmed closer to the conference dates. Please note: we cannot guarantee individual requests for specific numbers of delegates per workshop.
